Scientific Evidence of past global
warming and cooling
The data obtained from ice
cores show that Carbon Dioxide and Temperature are linked.
An increase or decrease in CO2 is followed by an increase or
decrease in temperature. Other factors such as volcanic activity,
solar spots etc. have been linked with temperature fluctuations.

Global warming might produce
a new Ice Age
Scientists have tried to predict how much the temperature
will increase. This is not easy as there are many factors that
can alter their calculations. In some theories, the melting of
the Polar ice caps would mean an outflowing of heavy, cold, low
salty water into the oceans that might interfere with the golbale
circulation of warm and cold ocean currents. In the past, there
has been evidence that such a thing occured and that it produced
an ice age in the Northern hemisphere. It seems ironic that global
warming might provoke an iceage.
