A view of my street in Montreal. After a couple of days of freezing rain, the trees and wires are covered with ice. Some branches have already fallen and my electrical line is at risk at the upper right side of the picture. The day after I took this picture, a branch falls on the wire pushing it down into the street. A day later, acar runs through the police barricades rips into the wire, pulling the electrical meter off the side of my house. The driver never even stopped to see if anyone had been injured! I still have the muffler as proof. Jan 9th.

South of Montreal one of the hundreds of electrical towers that have been totally or partially destroyed stands as a silent witness. It is estimated that the top collapsed under 3 times its weight cause by ice build up during the storm. Shot out the window of my car, Jan 18th.
